The statistical studies on the gingivitis of Korean children


Abstract
The author had made the statistical studies on gingivitis of Korean children Sampling of studies was 2,081 primary school children in suburbs of Seoul between the age from 6 to 13 and have surveyed frequency and predominant area of gingivitis.
The results were obtained as follows;
1. The frequency, of the gingivitis was 70.87 percent in total samples.
2. The gingivitis was not significant in sexual differences as they revealed 71.31 percent in male and 70.38 ~Y percent in female. ,
I The "gingivitis was prefered to increase according to the aging.
4. The predominant area of gingivitis was not significant in sexual differences and was more in maxilla than mandible.
5. In the maxilla; gingivitis¢¥ was more prevailing in molar region than in anterior region in both sex.
6. In the mandible, gingivitis was more prevailing in molar -region till the age of 11 and in anterior region after that age.
